Baiana Languages is run by two independent educators (CNPJ 52.208.288/0001-98, CNAE 8593/7-00), offering online Brazilian Portuguese, European Portuguese, English, and Russian lessons to students anywhere in the world.

2. What data we collect
We only collect what's needed to organize the initial contact and the lessons themselves:

• Trial lesson form - name, email, phone/messenger contact, language of interest, current level, learning goal, and any questions you write in.
• Data exchanged directly by email, WhatsApp, or another messenger during contact and lessons.
• Material produced during lessons (exercises, notes, support materials).

3. Lesson recordings
We don't record lessons as a standard practice. If a lesson is recorded, the recording is kept, since it's considered relevant study material. If you'd like a recording of yours deleted, just ask at privacy@baianalanguages.online
We never post recordings on social media or anywhere else without your written consent.

4. What we use your data for

• Organizing and confirming trial and regular lessons.
• Direct communication about scheduling, materials, and payments.
• Personalizing lesson content to your level and goals.

We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Payments
Depending on where you're based, payments are handled through Stripe, PayPal, Wise,
Revolut, Pix, a card payment link, or a direct bank transfer. These providers process your payment data under their own privacy policies — we don't store your card or full bank details ourselves.

5. Students from every country
We have students from all over the world. We don't separately follow the data protection laws
of each student's home country — we apply the same standard of care to everyone, based on
Brazil's LGPD (Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados), since Baiana Languages operates out of
Brazil.

6. How long we keep data
We keep contact details and lesson history for as long as the relationship with the student lasts, plus a reasonable period afterward for internal organization and in case lessons resume.
You can request deletion of your data at any time at privacy@baianalanguages.online

7. Cookies and the site
We don't use Google Analytics or any other analytics/tracking tool. The site only uses the technical cookies needed for it to function.

8. Your rights
You can ask at any time what data we hold about you, request corrections, or request deletion, by writing to privacy@baianalanguages.online

9. Jurisdiction
Any disputes related to this policy will be resolved under the jurisdiction of Salvador-BA, Brazil.
